Thermal reflex sight with thermal imaging overlay for a better overview

The TRS-I daytime view detects and outlines all visible objects.

“What would it be like,” thought our thermal imaging experts, “if we combined the advantages of rapid target acquisition with the added value of thermal imaging?” The result of these considerations is a new generation of reflex sights, our Thermal Reflex Sight (TRS) with thermal imaging overlay, which makes complex operations a clear affair for the police and military.

The TRS combines the best of both worlds. While reflex sights enable fast target acquisition with both eyes thanks to magnification-free optics, our integrated thermal imaging technology makes it possible to detect hidden or camouflaged enemies immediately. Especially in rough terrain or at night, it is difficult or even impossible to detect and capture camouflaged persons with reflex sights alone. Thanks to the thermal imaging overlays, the TRS can be used at any time of day or night and people can be detected at short to medium distances by their heat signature. In rapidly changing light conditions, such as when entering a dark cellar or a dense wooded area, the thermal image can be switched on immediately by opening the lens flap or simply pressing a button – so the soldier or police officer maintains permanent visual control of the situation.

Our thermal reflex sight is very compact and lightweight, yet very robust and suitable for assault rifles and LMGs. It has an extra large field of view and large eye relief. Both magnifier and residual light amplifier can also be fitted. A special feature: the quick parallax adjustment ensures maximum shooting accuracy, especially at short distances, which is vital in CQB or ghost situations.

With the TRS, we are expanding our portfolio of thermal imaging solutions for special forces with a real game changer with targeting function and integrated thermal imaging – for that little bit of superiority when it counts in the field.

Artificial intelligence (AI) in thermal imaging technology

Artificial intelligence is on everyone’s lips. VECTED’s focus is on helping users of our thermal imaging cameras detect and assess objects through the integration of AI. AI is based on neural networks that are trained by us specifically for use by the police or the military, with the aim of recognising dangerous situations, such as where weapons need to be detected.
